For many of us at PUIs, summer is when we have a chance to focus on our research, and provide our students with an intensive learning experience in the lab. The PUNC Summer Group-Meeting was created as an opportunity for faculty to regularly connect, discuss research, and hear about each other's research through weekly student presentations.

Each week includes time for faculty only discussion, followed by 2 to 3 student presentations.  These talks are meant to be low-stress opportunities for students to present their research to a friendly audience, who can provide critical scientific feedback such as help with experiments. Additionally, participating in these group-meetings helps students and faculty connect to a wider scientific community.

Group-meetings are currently all held via Zoom, so all of PUNC has the opportunity to participate no matter where they are actively doing research.
